Windows Vista Update problems.....always something!

Well, here we go again......if you are still running Win Vista and having problems...it has been ongoing from day number one!
Make sure you have "automatic updates" turned to the setting where you can choose yourself which updates you are going to install....some of them will crash the machine so that it will just continue to "loop" upon startup....

that's a bad thing....

To reset the Windows Update components automatically, click the Fix it button or link. Click Run in the File Download dialog box, and then follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.

Note this Fix it Solution has two modes Default and Aggressive. You should run the Fix it solution in Default mode and determine if it resolves your problem with Windows Update before running it in Aggressive mode.

support is ending for some versions of Windows

  • Support for Windows Vista without any service packs will end on April 13, 2010.

  • Support for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) will end on July 13, 2010.*

If you're running one of these versions after support ends, you won't get security updates for Windows.
