Freecause Toolbar....don't install it! Here's why.....

For those of you who love to click on toolbar installations this is one to stay away from!
Here's the reason why:

An average computer user may not be aware about the evil doings of Freecause and their toolbar. It is a parasite software that installs BHO (Browser Helper Object) on a user's browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc).

The purpose of this type of parasitic software (Freecause Toolbar) is to over-write cookies to manipulate data. Freecause toolbar uses such dirty techniques to steal commissions in the name of charity and donations. They have stolen millions (may be billions) of dollars from other affiliate marketers with the use of BHO.

An average computer user may think that installing the freecause toolbar and shopping through them will help a cause. However, Freecause's main intention behind all this charity propaganda is to generate piles of money. They are giving a bad name to charity and donation money.

The main reason why they still exist is because of lack of information. Average computer user has no idea of their evil doing and people install their toolbar thinking that they are helping a cause while shopping through their toolbar. I love shoppers who are trying to help a cause while shopping. But I hate Freecause for all their wrong doing to earn money in the name of charity, donations and causes.

The only way to minimize this stealing is by spreading the good word and sharing information. If you wish to find out more about what they are doing, please refer to this link on freecause toolbar and companies associated with them.

Here is how to get rid of it completely...first uninstall the Toolbar...but you will notice the "search" engine "freecause" is still there...so do this:

in Firefox:

1: Click on tools, add-ons, and click uninstall on the causes toolbar.
2: on the search box, there is a dropdown menu which says manage search engines, click that and remove causes,
3: you may also have to do this step: type about:config into your URL browser, click the I will be careful. Type in keyword.url and right click and reset it.

Done and Done...the BHO is now history......
