If you want to use Skype on Puppy Linux distros it will not work by default anymore since
Microsoft has its hands in it...
however have found where to get a reworked .PET file for it to get it to work

Import Gmail Contacts into Outlook 365 and Outlook 2013 the easy way!
For those of you who are struggling with Outlook email and getting your Gmail contacts into it somehow
here is the quick fix...
Go into your Contacts in Gmail
Export them as a .CSV file
then open up Outlook.com ONLINE--that is on the website where all Live products are now...
Go to PEOPLE
Import your contacts from the .CSV file you created...
it asks you a couple of questions and then click IMPORT
once it is ONLINE it will automatically sync with your Outlook Office Life 365 on the computer
you are using....
when you want to send an email ONLINE from Outlook.com hit the "To:" button and it will pull up your NEW contact list....
in Outlook program on computer just type in the persons name and you are ready to email....

Netflix in Linux Mint 17-how to enable it in Terminal
Pipelight is a plugin that lets you view Silverlight videos in a
browser in Linux Mint 17. Here's how you can install it. Pipelight will
let you watch Netflix and other services on your Linux system.
1. Open a terminal window.
2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pipelight/stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pipelight
sudo pipelight-plugin --update
sudo pipelight-plugin --enable silverlight
(when you get to the white page of the Microsoft EULA agreement tab to OK
and then tab to YES-that disables the white page and you can go on-many folks are stuck there and don't know what to do and shut down Terminal and have to start over)
now open synaptic package manager
type in NETFLIX in the search box
install the two dependencies there-it says python etc etc...
with Linux there is dependencies of all sorts that have to be met to enable all these items....
also Netflix Desktop when it pops up
mark all for installation and hit apply
you will see Netflix desktop in your Sound Video link
it still will need some Wine dependencies met so go ahead and download them
let Wine update the whole Gecko install
it will ultimately install everything and open up Netflix Firefox....enable Silverlight and hit in
the upper left hand corner "allow and remember"
you will be off and watching Netflix on your Linux Mint Awesomeness...................

If you have not installed it yet DON'T...
MS has issued a patch to remove this update from Windows 7 computers...it is causing issues with future updating and also AMD video card issues etc etc

Here is a bleep from our friends at TVADDONS regarding the Trakt service to keep your viewed shows/ movies updated online:
You can set your profile as private by going to http://trakt.tv/settings/account and checking the "Protect my data" setting. However read on and always "watch your back"
With over a quarter million users Trakt is one of the most popular communities for movie and TV fans.
The service allows users to keep track of the videos they watch throughout the week, either manually or automatically via media players such as VLC, XBMC and Popcorn Time.
Trakt processes and stores downloading habits so its users can keep track of what they’re watching. By default it also allows others to see this information as well, and that’s where things start to become problematic.
Trakt appears to be relatively popular among pirates. A quick glance at the most popular movies shows that most are still playing in theater. These could technically all be manual entries, but the “currently watching” lists shows that this isn’t the case.
For example, at the time of writing there were several Trakt users watching the latest box-office hit “Interstellar” via XBMC and Infuse. Also, the overview of the movie “Lucy” shown below lists several Popcorn Time users checking in a pirated copy of the film.
Of course people have to decide for themselves if they want to display their piracy habits to the rest of the world, but they shouldn’t complain if a movie studio comes knocking on their door.
We’ve just spent a few minutes looking through the profiles of several Popcorn Time users, who all display their browsing habits in public. Needless to say, this offers unique opportunities for copyright trolls.
Copyright holders only have to write down a few usernames and ask the court for a subpoena to expose their personal info.
Trakt is very clear about the fact that it helps private parties to enforce and comply with the law, and will have no other option than to hand over the requested information if they’re faced with a subpoena.
“We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas)…” Trakt’s privacy policy reads.
So without too much hassle rightsholders can get their hands on pirates’ IP-addresses, email addresses, payment information, a database of files watched and at what times, etcetera.
And then there’s the added risk of running into scammers.
Many “pirating” Trakt users have profile images and usernames that can easily lead to a person’s identity. It took us less than a minute to dig up an email address of a Popcorn Time user, info that scammers could exploit to falsely threaten legal action while posing as a copyright holder.
That’s trouble waiting to happen.
Most pirating Trakt users are probably not aware of the risks above, but in any case it might be wise for the privacy minded to avoid the service.

Want to reinstall or update XBMC (Now Kodi) entertainment center and not lose all your favorites? Here's how.....
Computer>
Users>
Your Name>
App Data> ( make sure you have hidden files and folders to show)
XBMC (or Kodi) >
userdata>
Copy that folder and then paste it into the new install/update after you are done installing and
get to the folder the same way...
hit
"copy and replace"
and you are off and running with your favorites in their places again!
I recommend doing a fresh install of XBMC/KODI and doing the Hub Fusion install of all the
plugins right off the bat via the Fusion server....
then you have a great head start to wonderful viewing!

How to disable junkware installing when updating JAVA
This setting is buried in the Java Control Panel. To access it, press
your Windows Key once to bring up the Start menu or Start screen and
type Java. Click the “Configure Java” shortcut.
Click over to the Advanced tab and scroll down to the very bottom — yes, they hid this option at the very bottom of the Advanced list. Check the “Suppress sponsor offers when installing or updating Java” option and click OK.
The option here will basically just set the same registry value you can set yourself below.
We’re not sure exactly when this option was added, but it appears to have been sometime in July or August 2014. If you don’t see the option here, you have an outdated version of Java — update it now! (And be sure to uncheck the junkware while installing the update.)
Download the Disable_Java_Junkware.zip file, double-click it to open it, and double-click the Disable_Java_Junkware.reg file to add the values to your registry. (You can right-click a .reg file and click Edit to check what it will do; feel free to check the downloaded .reg file before running it.)

The Registry Hack
You can also use a quick registry hack to change this setting. We have a .reg file you can use to enable it with a few clicks. This will prevent Java from trying to install the Ask Toolbar the first time you install it. You could run this .reg file on your family’s computers and they won’t get bit by the Ask Toolbar if they ever try to install Java.Download the Disable_Java_Junkware.zip file, double-click it to open it, and double-click the Disable_Java_Junkware.reg file to add the values to your registry.
